Mehtab Ali, a professional artist, began his artistic career in 1982. He received a B.Sc degree from Karachi University, which indicates his diverse interests and multidisciplinary approach to art. However, his passion lies in painting figurative representations of traditional, cultural, and urban women. He finds great joy and fulfilment in creating intricate pen and ink drawings.
Throughout his career, Mehtab Ali has displayed his artwork in several esteemed locations worldwide. On January 5, 2025, in recognition of his valuable services in the field of painting, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Mayor of Karachi, has conferred the honor of Karachi Award (تمغہ کراچی).
