2. Artist Statement

‎“My journey with art began when I got fascinated with pen and ink. I used to draw on wall, sketch in notebooks, and create images wherever I found space. With time, my interest in calligraphy and painting deepened, especially because of my roots in the land of Khushal Khan Khattak “A heritage of creativity and expression.”

‎My art is a reflection of my feelings. I paint nature, culture, and emotions. I believe that art is as ancient as humanity itself, an eternal expression that evolves with each generation. For me, painting is not a profession but a purpose. It is a way to speak when words fall short.

‎We are living in the most pluralistic and complex era the world has ever seen. I believe no single ideology or methodology can answer the intricacies of modern life. My art, therefore, explores the contradictions, emotions, and chaos of the times we live in offering not answers but a mirror to our collective inner world.

‎I aspire for peace and harmony, and through my brush, I convey messages of unity in a time of division. This inner calling has been the most powerful force behind my creative expression.”

3. Artwork Review

‎Riffat Khattak is widely recognized for his distinctive and individualistic style. Critics describe him as an instinctive artist whose work emerges from a deep moral and emotional compass. His compositions often blend cultural themes with modern abstraction, creating a dynamic balance between sensitivity and boldness.

Riffat’s work speaks to the viewer through textures, shapes, and subtle tones. His mastery of watercolor, in particular, allows him to express both fluidity and structure a balance that gives his paintings life. His calligraphy pieces reflect traditional aesthetics fused with personal expression, resonating deeply with cultural and spiritual values. His work has often been seen as a visual dialogue asking essential questions about identity, modernity, and the human condition. While some of his themes may reflect turbulence, there’s always a quiet undercurrent of hope and peace that anchors his art.
